We offer a complete service of remote monitoring and verification to confirm that any activation is in fact an emergency and not a false alarm.  In the event of a false alarm, our monitoring centre can contact the keyholder rather than the emergency services, thus ensuring your premises remain on Gardai response.

Photoelectric Beam Sensors

The intelligent quad infrared beam is designed to meet the highest standards of quality and reliability for intrusion detection. Unique quad beams are synchronized to work together to reinforce the range and stability in severe weather conditions. The "intelligence" comes from having four different selectable frequencies which allow the stacking of beam sets to create a "wall of light".

Passive Infrared Detectors

Passive infrared detectors, also called P-I-Rs, are usually used in high-traffic areas in both homes and businesses, and are the most common type of motion detector used by Merrion Security for interior use. Passive infrared is a technology used in motion detectors and motion sensors that can sense heat within its range. When heat is detected, it sends an alert to the main alarm panel. These units consist of a thermal sensor to detect the energy, a mirror or lens to direct the energy, and associated electronics to analyze the information. Heat is detected in one zone and then the other, allowing the unit to reject alarms from heated surfaces or R-F interference. If you have a pet, you can purchase a special lens that ignores motion and heat close to the ground.
